The Gaming Truth

In the 15th Century

Before the first video game was made, before advanced technology existed, the world was outrun by demons, killing most of the population. I am Blaze and I was born with special powers from birth. My power is the Dragon Flame and with that I am capable of fighting and sealing demons. I sealed the demons inside disks or what you call CDs in the present day and they became the villains in most video games. However, there was a prophecy. It said that one day in the 21st century the demons would penetrate through the seal, following the merging of two worlds; and only my reincarnation and his friend would seal them again and restore balance. After the last remaining demon on Earth was sealed, I decided to sacrifice myself to revive all those who died and to erase the memories of this incident and myself from history. After the process, everyone lived a normal life without knowing anything about me or the incident, and the world was peaceful for the time being.



In the 21st Century

My name is Thomas and I am a gamer who plays for 5 hours on weekdays and 14 hours on weekends. I love playing games that involve adventure, chaos, and destruction with my best friend, Stephen. We play games together 5 times a week. One day, we decided to play Hyrule Warriors on Wii U. When we reached the part where the main character, Link, had to face Ganondorf, the demon king, the game suddenly crashed. It is because of this event that the demons sealed within were able to destroy the seal. Then, the world suddenly merged with the game world causing chaos. This happened so quickly that Stephen and I were left confused. In a matter of minutes, our peaceful city changed into a chaotic field.

Demons were chasing everyone including me and Stephen. Some tried to shoot and kill their pursuers but they died. Since human weapons have no effect on demons. I was running with Stephen when we suddenly stumbled upon a hidden chamber. The chamber was dark but it suddenly illuminated as we stepped in and a machine as small as Wall-E appeared. It introduced itself to us as a machine made to help many heroes in the past. The machinery told us that in the past, the world was also outrun by demons but Blaze appeared and sealed them in CDs and erased the memories of the incident from history. It also stated that Stephen and I are destined to seal the demons once again and bring peace to two worlds, but the only way to do that is to combine both our powers to seal the demon king from the human world and the game world permanently. Then, the machine gave us amazing powers. I inherited the Dragon Flames of Blaze and the power to copy anything with my imagination. I represent the strength of Blaze. On the other hand, Stephen inherited the Dragon Lightning and the power to teleport at any place and at any time. He represents the speed of Blaze. After we received our powers, the machine sent us back to the real world and we never saw the hidden chamber again.

Stephen and I appeared at the corner of the battlefield. We saw that both human and the characters of the game are working together in attempt to drive away the demons so we quickly helped them with our newly obtained powers. We fought and sealed many demons until the last one in the battlefield was sealed. After the fight, the battlefield was a river of CDs. We went to help some people who were injured until we stumbled upon Link. Link decided to help and he informed us that the demon kings are staying at the core of the Sky Realm but the only way to reach there is to fight and seal 4 demon bosses in keys. He also informed us that they stay in the dungeons of the Human World, the Underwater Realm, Hyrule Garden, and the City of the Sky.

The three of us first went to the dungeon of the Human World while fighting and sealing demons. Our destination is the chamber of Wicked, a demon with a curse of exploding anything he touches. With the help of Stephen’s teleportation and my far ranged attacks, we were able to seal Wicked into a key without sustaining much damage. Then we went to the underwater dungeon where Darugis, a demon from the game Pokemon who can control a person’s mind, is contained. We were able to get there and reach the entrance because of Link’s masks which can allow us to breathe underwater. Our battle with Darugis was hard because first, I cannot use my Dragon Flames underwater and second, Darugis has controlled Stephen who has the most advantage underwater because of Dragon Lightning. However, I was able to find an opening and I smacked Darugis so hard that he lost control of Stephen and the both of us sealed the demon in his confusion. We were about to go to the garden of Hyrule to find Vaati, a demonic sorcerer, when we realized how tired we were, so we all went to an inn and slept to regain our energy.

After we all had enough rest, we instantaneously went to the gardens of Hyrule. Once we reached the gardens, we had an easy time with Vaati because we found out that he wasn’t able to penetrate the seal. Then we headed to the City of the Sky with Stephen’s teleportation because there wasn’t another way to reach the city. We entered the dungeon and fought with Phantom, a demonic ghost. With the help of Link’s gust jar, once Phantom started to get serious and turned into a ghost, Link used the jar to suck him in and seal him into a key. We then headed to the core of the Sky Realm for our final battle with the demon kings.

When we reached the outskirts of the core of the Sky Realm with the help of Loftwings, the bird of the Gods who fly throughout the Sky Realm, we saw a floating castle as large as the City of the Sky. We landed at the entrance and found four key locks on the massive door. With the keys infused with the demons, they unlocked each one and approached Ganondorf, the demon king of Hyrule with the Triforce of Power, and End, the demon king of the human world with the power of the Flames of Hell. Link fought with Ganondorf in a sword battle while Stephen and I fought with End in a power battle. My battle with Stephen against End was pure destruction. We sent towers and walls flying in our battle. Finally, we were able to throw End off guard and we sealed him causing all the demons from the human world that were not yet sealed to be sealed along with him. Then we went to help Link when Ganondorf had gotten serious and transformed into a demon pig. With the three of us, we were able to defeat Ganondorf and seal him along with the rest of the demons from the game world.


After the demon kings were sealed, we told our farewell to Link as the two worlds, the human and the game world, were separating. However, everything was not yet completely back to normal so Stephen and I decided to fix everything and revive those who had died. But unlike Blaze, we didn’t die because the effect of what we were trying to do was making us lose our powers. For Blaze, he died because he was born with the power, but we obtained the power. After every building was fixed and everyone was revived, the world is back to normal and everyone thanked Stephen and I for returning the world back to normal.
