The second, ”There will come a time when something great will happen that will cause the flower to bloom and it will be the best one.” And so the time finally came and the adventure began.

The Power of English

Written by Theodore Getson Lim

Once upon a time, not long ago, there was a scientist who worked in a hidden lab deep within the city to create a machine that could give an individual power. He was doing this due to the fact that the city of Micropolis is slowly being destroyed by Dr. Sense and Hyperbully for the past month. One would notice that they seem to be purposely making very slow progress. This can be explained by the fact that Dr. Sense and Prof. Paradox were once apprentices of a great scientist. This scientist made the original machine that gave Dr. Sense and Prof. Paradox’s powers. But then, Dr. Sense, overwhelmed by the amazement of the power he has received, used it against his master. His powers are complete control of the senses. He took away his master’s sense of responsibility, making his master just stand there, not knowing that he has the responsibility to save his work as Dr. Sense began to steal all his research. Prof. Paradox, gaining the power of enhanced intelligence, anticipated this and he ran away, along with the important research of their master. Dr. Sense, enraged as he realized this, took away their master’s life.

The Gaming Truth

Written by Daniel Enriquez

In the 15th Century

Before the first video game was made, before advanced technology existed, the world was outrun by demons, killing most of the population. I am Blaze and I was born with special powers from birth. My power is the Dragon Flame and with that I am capable of fighting and sealing demons. I sealed the demons inside disks or what you call CDs in the present day and they became the villains in most video games. However, there was a prophecy. It said that one day in the 21st century the demons would penetrate through the seal, following the merging of two worlds; and only my reincarnation and his friend would seal them again and restore balance. After the last remaining demon on Earth was sealed, I decided to sacrifice myself to revive all those who died and to erase the memories of this incident and myself from history. After the process, everyone lived a normal life without knowing anything about me or the incident, and the world was peaceful for the time being.

Camille Gilinsky had recently arrived in the extravagant, yet freaky, Victorian home her eccentric Aunt Nicole unfortunately owned before she was ushered to the single extra bedroom in the second floor.

One in the Unknown

Written by Chelsea Grace Aguilar

“Okay, class dismissed,” said the teacher. I was so glad class was over and I could go home and do absolutely nothing. I walked on the side of the streets as usual, like I do every day. But something was strange, our neighbor’s, the Matthews, front door was open. However, their cars were parked so I guess they must have left it open. I stepped inside the house and no one was home, but boy was it a wreck! “Hello?” I screamed. “Anyone home?” I added. It was really peculiar. I saw a small metal thing on the floor and picked it up. “What the heck is this?” I thought to myself. I put it in my pocket and left. The next day, I checked the house again yet there are still no signs of the Matthews’.
